: PhD Fellow at Institute for Development Studies, University of Nairobi and Department of Food and Resource Economics, University of Copenhagen (2024 to Present). Research Interests:- Kiprono Lagat is a PhD Fellow at University of Nairobi and University of Copenhagen with interests on the governance of blue carbon projects as nature base solutions, environmental justice, climate change, and landscape management. He has been exposed to the broad theme of terrestrial, wetland/marine ecosystem resources, ecosystem connectivity, climate change, and ecosystem-based management. He has expertise and experience in landscape ecosystem management and restoration, training and building capacity of local communities on effective and sustainable management of natural resources. His past research includes assessment of the effective of mangrove restoration in Kenya and community involvement in restoration practices
